Submersible rescue operation begins Saturday night

06/08/2005 16:12 VLADIVOSTOK, August 6 (RIA Novosti, Anatoly Ilyukhov) - The stricken submersible rescue operation involving foreign specialists will start off the Kamchatka coast after 8 p.m. Moscow time, the Pacific Fleet said.
"The rescue operation of the submersible and its seven crewmen may last from one to four hours," a fleet spokesman said. "The AS-28 vessel has a 24-hour air supply."
The U.S. and British rescue undersea vehicles are being transported to the Berezovaya Bay where the Russian submersible was trapped at a depth of 200 meters.
