MOSCOW, August 5 (RIA Novosti) - A cable ship has joined the operation to rescue the stricken deep-sea submersible in the Pacific Ocean, a source in the Russian navy said Friday.
"As part of the rescue operation, the KIL-168 ship and the Biryusa cable ship are currently conducting a sweep," said Igor Dygalo, an assistant to the Russian Navy's commander.
He said the sweeping operation was being held in an effort to release the stricken vessel from a cable.
