05/08/2005 14:22 NIZHNY NOVGOROD, August 5 (RIA Novosti) - Experts from the Lazutit Central Design Bureau (CDB), which designed the AS-28 deep-sea submersible stranded on the Pacific floor, are conducting an emergency meeting, a bureau official said Friday.
"An emergency meeting is under way at the CDB. No details have been released yet," the official said.
The representative said the bureau's specialists might be sent to the site of the accident.
According to preliminary data, the submersible with seven crewmembers on board became stuck at depth of some 190 meters (623 feet) in the Berezovaya Bay, about 42 nautical miles from regional center Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, when its propeller snagged on a fishing net.
The deep-sea vessel is 13.5 meters long and 5.7 meters high.
