Russian Navy asks U.S. for help to rescue distressed deep-sea vessel - official

MOSCOW, August 5 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian navy leadership has asked the U.S. Pacific Fleet for help to rescue a deep-sea vessel in distress, an aide of the Russian Navy supreme commander said.
Captain First Class Igor Dygalo, senior spokesman for the Navy, said, "Russian Navy senior officials have asked U.S. Pacific Fleet commanders for help through the U.S. Embassy. The question is being considered and talks will occur soon between the commanders of the Russian and U.S. Pacific Fleets."
