MOSCOW, April 1 (RIA Novosti) - In the Siberian military district, a Mi-24P helicopter of the Russian Defense Ministry has crashed during tactical air exercises, RIA Novosti learnt from the Russian Air Force press service.

"It happened at 8:20, Moscow time. The helicopter crashed on landing for refuelling. All the crewmen are alive, no destruction or victims on the land recorded", the press service said.

Life of the crewmen is not in danger, the interviewee said.

The accident happened 80 kilometers north-west of the Yurga proving ground.

A ministerial commission has been appointed to investigate into the flight accident.

RIA Novosti was told at the Defense Ministry that the helicopter was from the independent helicopter regiment of the 14th Air Force and Air Defense Army, stationed in Berdsk.

The helicopter was approaching after service firing and, making a turn, collided with a refuelling vehicle, the press service told RIA Novosti.

One of the three crewmen is badly injured and two are in a rather bad state.

The criminal case for "neglect of the rules of flying and flight preparation" has been initiated, says the military prosecutor's office of the Siberian military district in the communique, which has come to hand at RIA Novosti.
