RIA Novosti
MOSCOW, February 28 (RIA Novosti) - Defenders of Russia's nuclear objects can rebuff all threats, head of the Russian federal atomic energy agency Alexander Rumyantsev said at a RIA Novosti press conference on Monday.
"We boast the world's best level of physical and technical protection [of nuclear objects]," Mr. Rumyantsev stressed.
Speaking about security measures during the return of nuclear waste from Iran to Russia, Mr. Rumyantsev noted that Russia had the experience and necessary equipment to transport nuclear waste.
"We remove nuclear waste from Ukraine, Hungary and Bulgaria. We have relevant experience, special containers, trains, guards and satellite communications. Everything is under the IAEA control," Alexander Rumyantsev emphasized.
