On June 28 the lower house of parliament (Majilis) of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved draft laws on the ratification of the treaties and agreements signed between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan on the terms of the use and rent of the test ranges located on the territory of Kazakhstan.
The Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Sat Toknakbayev gave a positive assessment of the decision of the Majilis and said that it attested to the interest of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan in strengthening and developing military-technical cooperation between them.
For our part we believe that the deepening of military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan reflects the high level of existing strategic partnership and allied interaction between our countries.
