Wen Jiabao Wishes WPK Conference Success

Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- DPRK Ambassador to China Choe Pyong Gwan paid a courtesy call on Premier of the State Council of China Wen Jiabao on August 31.
The premier said at the meeting that the upcoming conference of the Workers' Party of Korea would mark a political event of great significance for the party, the state and the people of the DPRK, sincerely wishing the conference success.
The China visit paid by General Secretary Kim Jong Il nearly four months since his visit in last May patently shows the stand of the party and the government of the DPRK to steadily develop the Sino-DPRK friendly relations and his two China visits this year provide an important occasion in boosting the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation, he noted.
Recalling that he had an in-depth exchange of view on the cooperation in economy and trade between the two countries, when meeting Kim Jong Il in Beijing in May this year, the premier expressed his intention to boost it in line with the spirit of the agreement made by the top leaders of the two countries.
