KCNA

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- Kang Sok Ju, first vice-minister of foreign affairs of the DPRK, today met and had a talk with a delegation of the Chinese Foreign Ministry led by vice-minister Wang Yi. Vice-foreign minister Kim Yong Il had talks with it on August 7.
At the talks and conversation they exchanged views on the issue of improving the bilateral relations and views on the six-party talks to be held to discuss the nuclear issue between the DPRK and the U.S.
Both sides stressed the need to receive the U.S. answer to the DPRK proposal made at the Beijing talks held in April last at the coming six-party talks and were of the view that through it they would be able to judge the U.S. willingness to make a switchover in its Korea policy.
