Narrative and Notes
  • One of the "muscle" hijackers on American Airlines Flight 11, which crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11.
  • His brother, Waleed, was also one of the hijackers on the flight.
  • Entered United States on June 8, 2001.
  • Had begun university studies in Saudi Arabia when he joined the plot. He was employed as a physical education teacher.
  • Had a family member in the Saudi passport office who assisted him and his brother in obtaining clean passports that presumably concealed their travel to Pakistan and/or Afghanistan.
  • The Shehri brothers' father is a leader in the Shehri tribe in Saudi Arabia.1,2
