ReliableSlahi told the recruits that getting into Chechnya to fight would be difficult because many jihadis were being stopped in Georgia. He instead said they should go to Afghanistan for training, and gave them specific instructions on how to reach Afghanistan via Pakistan.

He told them to go to Quetta, Pakistan, and ask for "Umar al Masri" at the Taliban office. This was a code phrase that would assure recruits entry into al-Qaeda circles.1
