Narrative and Notes
ReliableDuring the second of two meetings within a few weeks, apparently arranged by Majid Khan, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (identified as C-2 in court filings) informed Faris that al-Qaeda was planning two simultaneous operations in New York City and Washington, D.C.

One would crash the Brooklyn Bridge by using gas cutters to sever suspension cables. The other involved derailing a train.

Faris was tasked to study both plans and buy equipment to conduct them.
