|Reliable||During the second of two meetings within a few weeks, apparently arranged by Majid Khan, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (identified as C-2 in court filings) informed Faris that al-Qaeda was planning two simultaneous operations in New York City and Washington, D.C.|
One would crash the Brooklyn Bridge by using gas cutters to sever suspension cables. The other involved derailing a train.
Faris was tasked to study both plans and buy equipment to conduct them.
