Narrative and Notes
ReliableThe bomb detonated on the top deck of the bus.

It is unclear why Hussain, unlike his three fellow bombers, bombed a bus instead of a train, and why his attack took place an hour after the first three bombings.1
PossibleIt has been speculated he tried to detonate his bomb but it didn't go off, prompting him to go to a store and buy a 9-volt battery and switch to a bus because of delays on the subways after the first three bombings.1
