MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Former Moldovan President Igor Dodon said on Friday that the country registered Sputnik V, a Russian vaccine against COVID-19.
"Good news for all citizens of Moldova! A few minutes ago, the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 Sputnik V was officially registered in the Republic of Moldova," Dodon wrote on his Facebook page.
To date, the vaccine has been approved by more than 30 countries.
Sputnik V is a human adenoviral platform-based vaccine, which was developed by Russia's Gamaleya Center and registered by the Russian government on August 11 last year. Interim results from Phase 3 clinical trials established its efficacy at 91.6 percent, as published by The Lancet.
