JSC Murom Apparatus Producing plant

Joint-stock company «Murom Apparatus Producing plant» was founded in 1941. The plant is located in the central part of European part of Russia. This is one of the most Russian companies which specializes in production of the means of initiation and ignition of ammunition for all types of the armed force’s arms. A wide range of pyrotechnic devices produced by the company, intended for the actuation the means of salvation in the aviation, marine and land equipment, as well as space systems, including manned. JSC «MAPP» produces the following:

• Primers for cartridges of service, sportive & hunting arms;
• Facilities of initiation for the fire-fighting systems;
• Industrial cartridges;
• Rescue and signal facilities;
• Medicines and others.

Construction of the plant began November 4, 1938 pursuant to the Decree of the USSR Government dated 23 October 1938 "On the construction of the capsule plant in Murom area" in accordance with the Order of the People's Commissariat of Defense Industry. Our history is inseparably linked with the history Verbovskii village.

In difficult conditions the first months of the Great Patriotic War the staff was able to organize the work of all production services and start up the plant. October 23, 1941 the first production for the front was released on the basis of the evacuated of Leningrad "Krasnoznamenets" plant. Evacuated residents of the city of Leningrad, Gorki, Moscow, Voronezh, Smolensk, and other areas, the locals of the surrounding villages have become soldiers of the labor front of the new plant under Viktor Mikhailovich Kostyleva.

In September 1943, for achieving high production performance plant was awarded the challenge Red Banner of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b), and the All People's Commissariat of ammunition, which holds the factory workers before the end of the war. In April 1946, it was transferred to the plant for perpetual storage, as a symbol of valor in his contribution to the victory over Nazi Germany.

During the war the high state awards - Orders of Lenin, Labour Red Banner, Red Star, "Badge of Honor," Labor Glory, medals "For labor valor", "For Labor" and others were honored with 133 employees. More than two thousand factory workers were awarded medals "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."

With the end of hostilities has fallen sharply the demand for military products. Since 2001, using high technologies and the latest design developments, the plant mastered the production of construction and installation of cartridges with the environmentally friendly composition. Prior to July 1, 2011 Muromsky instrument-making factory had the legal form of unitary enterprises based on the right of business with the federal ownership.

By Order of the Federal Agency for State Property Management by the Vladimir region #798-r dated 14.06.2011, the decision on the privatization of Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Murom Instrument Making Plant" by converting into a corporation "Murom Instrument Making Plant", 100% owned by the Russian Federation, to subsequent transfer as a property contribution of the Russian State Corporation "Rostec". July 1, 2011 in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities record on the Elimination of FSUE "EMF" and the creation of "inventories".
