IJN Kaba Class Destroyers
The Kaba class destroyers were modified versions of the Sakura class and part of the 1914 War Program. In all, ten were laid down for the Imperial Navy and twelve more were built as an order from France, where they were classified as the Algerien type destroyer. Differences from the Sakura class involved a greater displacement and deeper draught. Five of the Kaba destroyers patroled the Mediterranean during the First World War and returned home in 1919.
