Yi, Yong-mu / Ri Yong Mu
Vice Chairman of the National Defense Commission
Ri Yong Mu, who served as Director General of the General Political Bureau from 1973 to 1977, has also undergone "revolutionary education" for his involvement in a scandal.
After rehabilitation in 1989, he served as the Chairman of the State Inspection Commission and as the Chairman of the State Transportation Commission in 1991. He was named the Vice Chairman of the National Defense Commission during its reshuffling on September 5, 1998, and was promoted to Vice Marshal upon returning to the military.
He is known to be responsible for land distribution programs.
