5th Attack Division

The 5th Attack Division was established in December 1950 at Kaiyuan, Liaoning. The division was organized with the 13th and 15th regiments. China-Military.org also identifies the 14th Regiment as being part of the 5th Attack Division.

An aircraft from the 5th Division is reported to have taken part in January 7, 1972 nuclear test at the Lop Nur facility. The aircraft dropped the weapon.

The division is currently located at Weifang Airbase and flies the Q-5.
