China Coast Guard lawfully drives away Japanese vessel from Diaoyu Dao territorial waters

On Tuesday, a Japanese fishing boat illegally entered the territorial waters of China's Diaoyu Dao. China Coast Guard (CCG) vessels took necessary law enforcement measures in accordance with the law and warned the boat to leave, said CCG spokesperson Liu Dejun.
He said the Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islets are China's inherent territory and urged the Japanese side to immediately stop all acts of infringement and provocation in these waters.
The CCG will continue to carry out law enforcement operations in the Diaoyu Dao area and will firmly safeguard China's national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, Liu said.
