A Palestinian man has been killed in an Israeli drone strike near the so-called yellow zone in Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood, in breach of the ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and the occupying regime.

Medical sources in Gaza reported that the young man, Muhammad Nasr Siam, was killed by gunfire from an Israeli drone east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, on Monday.

The so-called yellow line in Gaza demarcates the area where Israeli forces are permitted to stay as per the ceasefire agreement. This operational boundary, set by the Israeli military, has become a restricted movement zone since the US-brokered ceasefire took effect last month.

Israeli artillery also targeted the eastern part of the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Israel violates ceasefire deal about 591 times in 50 days

The Gaza Government Media Office said on Sunday that Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement at least 591 times in 50 days, killing hundreds of Palestinians since the truce came into effect on October 10.

It added that some 357 civilians have been killed and 903 others wounded due to the violations, with the majority of the victims being children, women, and the elderly.

The Office condemned "in the strongest terms the continued serious and systematic violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli occupation."

It emphasized that the violations constitute a "flagrant breach of international humanitarian law and the humanitarian protocol" associated with the agreement.

According to the office, Israel fired at civilians 164 times, conducted raids in residential areas beyond the "yellow line" 25 times, bombed and shelled Gaza 280 times, and destroyed properties on 118 occasions.

It added that Israel has also abducted 38 Palestinians from Gaza in 50 days.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 70,100 Palestinians have been killed and more than 170,900 wounded since the start of Israel's genocidal war in October 2023.

Israel has also continued to block vital humanitarian aid and destroy infrastructure across the Strip.
