INTRO: Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld said he has seen no evidence that accused terrorist Osama Bin Laden is dead. V-O-A'S Jessica Berman reports.

TEXT: Last week, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf said he had evidence that Bin Laden had died of kidney failure.

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was asked about that on N-B-C's "Meet the Press."

/// RUMSFELD ACT ///

I have no evidence of that. He could be dead. He could be alive. He could be in Afghanistan. He could be somewhere else. We are looking for him. I think we will find him.

/// END ACT ///

President George Bush says he wants Bin Laden "dead or alive" for the September 11th attacks that leveled the World Trade Center in New York and badly damaged the Pentagon outside Washington.
