NOLF Summerdale

NOLF Summerdale is a Navy Outlying Field (NOLF) located about 23 miles west-northwest of Pensacola Regional Airport. Still used as satellite airfield for Whiting Field Naval Air Station, the airfield consists of three runways: 4/22, 10/28 & 16/34, all 2,850 ft long. The Airport Facility Directory says: "Airport used for touch & go's only. Attended by crash crew for training of military T-34 aircraft." As more T-6A aircraft join the training fleet, operations will also commence at NOLF Summerdale, Alabama, and NOLF Silverhill, Alabama. These operations will require acquisition of land for the required Clear Zones to accommodate the longer runway requirements of the T-6A at NOLF Summerdale and NOLF Silverhill. These two projects will also require runway extensions.
