Other Organs
The Ministry of State Security also includes a General Office, a Political Department, a Personnel and Education Bureau, a Supervision and Auditing Bureau, a Party Committee and other organs. Although minor organizational changes have taken place in recent years, the overall framework remains basically the same.
The numerous subordinate organs of the Ministry of Public Security are called "agencies" instead of "public security posts" or "police stations." They are the "agencies" of the Ministry of Public Security and have no affiliations to the local governments of where they are stationed; therefore, what they need to do is only to "cooperate" and "coordinate" with local township and town governments or the neighborhood offices of local governments.
