MIK Assembly Ready Building and Facilities

On the right is the large MIK horizontal assemble ready building presumable capable of handling two full Taep ’o-dong-2 class three stage launch vehicles in addition to several vertical test cells in the high bay portions The side low bay adjoined building is the facility offices and test control area ’s. The road utilizes pre-cast concrete slabs that are interlocked with foundation gravel under them. Nearby is the facility officer ’s and guard quarters with others distributed through out the total test facility infrastructure.

Range Radar Telemetry Tracking Support Facilities

Near by on the left side are the communications huts with the remnants of four of the range tracking telemetry antenna base pads. This adjunct communications tracking facility is up range from the normal direction of launch being utilized and is partially abandoned from its original configuration. It is assumed that the facility hardware has been moved down range for tracking utilization or to other in country along North Korea ’s east coast range on the Sea of Japan. There are two support trailer like buildings for human operation that seem to utilize a US similar SCR-584 class radar communications tracking telemetry dish on top of them.
