KMT WON'T ADMIT FAILURE IN ELECTION BEFORE TRUTH IS OUT: KMT OFFICIAL
Taipei, April 28 (CNA) The Kuomintang (KMT) won't admit failure in the March 20 presidential election before the truth is out, said a KMT official Wednesday.
Ting Shou-chung, the director-general of the Department of Organizational Affairs under the KMT told a group of party die-hards that the party's priority for the present time is to find the truth, accepting failure is simply out of the question.
He made the comments to pacify supporters who went to KMT headquarters in Taipei to show their support for KMT Chairman Lien Chan, and asked that Lien not resign himself to defeat.
Asked by waiting journalists about calls by some within the party for promoting more younger people to party leadership, Ting said he fully agree with this idea, adding that many young people have already been involved in the just-concluded presidential campaign and the KMT welcomes more young people to join the party to fight for the country. "Instead of waiting for chances to do something for the party and for the country, young men should find opportunities to contribute to the party." Ting said.
