ISRAEL LISTS RUSSIAN COMPANIES AIDING IRAN ISRAEL LINE TUESDAY, JULY 28, 1998 Labor Knesset member Ephraim Sneh, Chairman of the Knesset Subcommittee on the Israel Defense Forces and Defense, presented information on Monday about Russian companies assisting Iran's arms buildup to a delegation of Russian parliamentarians, HA'ARETZ reported. Sneh presented a list of five Russian companies assisting Iran in developing the medium-range ballistic missile it tested last week. Sneh said Moscow has announced that these companies are being investigated because of their export of missile technology and know-how to Iran. For Israel, Sneh told the Russian delegates, Russian aid to Iran "constitutes an existential strategic question, and Russia must therefore terminate all such assistance,". MA'ARIV reported that The Dutch internal security service revealed in its annual report that it uncovered in Holland attempts by Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Libya to obtain knowledge and materials for the development of weapons of mass destruction.
