Drop of U.S. arms buildup plan demanded in S. Korea

KCNA

Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- The Council for National Reconciliation and Independent Reunification reportedly issued a statement on June 6 under the title "we strongly denounce the results of the second meeting of the council for planning policy of the future South Korea-U.S. alliance which unilaterally followed the demands of the U.S." Referring to the fact that only military strategic demands of the U.S. including the reposition and arms buildup of the U.S. forces were unilaterally discussed at the meeting, the statement said that the U.S. forces' redistribution of aggressive and provocative character is intended to increase the possibility of a preemptive attack on the north and seek for their permanent presence in South Korea.
The organization will continue to fight together with the people for revision and abrogation of the shackling South Korea-U.S. "mutual defense treaty" and all sorts of "agreements", cancellation of the arms buildup plan, overall return of the U.S. military base in Pyongsan, etc.
