Dick Cheney to visit Seoul in April

U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney will visit Seoul on April 17-19 to discuss matters of mutual concern, including finding a breakthrough in the U.S. nuclear standoff with North Korea, according to an Official at the American Chamber of Commerce in Seoul on Wednesday(March 19.)
However, U.S. Embassy in Seoul first secretary Maureen Cormack said, “There have definitely been talks on Cheney's visit sometime in mid-April”. But she added that Washington has not yet officially confirmed the timing of a visit.
During his stay in Seoul, Cheney is expected to meet President Roh Moo-hyun and other government and parliamentary leaders. The visit is to be part of his tour of Asia, which includes a stopover in Japan and China.
“I believe Cheney's visit set in mi-April implies that the war on Iraq will be over within two weeks, “ the chamber of commerce official said on condition of anonymity.
