Candlelight demonstration in S. Korea

Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- The All-People Measure Committee for Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son, schoolgirls killed by a U.S. armored car reportedly held the 89th-day candlelight demonstration at Kwanghwamun in Seoul on Feb. 22.
The demonstration continued more than 1 hour.
The demonstrators vowed to steadfastly continue the anti-U.S. candlelight march in the future. Han Sang Ryol, permanent representative of the committee, shouted slogans "long live national cooperation", "Long live national independence," "Long live the grand candlelight march".
At the end of the demonstration, the committee declared a week of national independence, peace against war.
The committee announced that it would hold a function for the day of action of people from all walks of life from Feb. 24 to 28 and stage a grand candlelight march on March 1.
Meanwhile, anti-U.S., anti-war demonstrations were held in different parts of Seoul to oppose the Iraqi war by the U.S.
