- Fifteen Iraqi police killed in VBIED attack MNF-I/MNC-I 06 Sep 2004 -- Fifteen Iraqi police officers were killed and 34 Iraqi police and two Iraqi civilians were wounded when anti-Iraqi forces detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device in front of the Kirkuk Police Academy September 4 at about 3:45 p.m.
- MNF-I capture 15 insurgents during air strike operation MNF-I/MNC-I 06 Sep 2004 -- At around 11:25 PM September 4, Baghdad time, Multi-National Forces - Iraq conducted a successful assault on a known terrorist safehouse in the vicinity of Almad al Hamadi, Southwest of Baghdad. Multiple intelligence reports confirmed the target building was used to plan and conduct terrorist attacks involving rocket propelled grenades, improvised explosive devices, and small arms.
- 1st Infantry Division detain 12 individuals following indirect fire attack MNF-I/MNC-I 06 Sep 2004 -- 1st Infantry Division Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry Regiment detained 12 anti-Iraqi force members following an indirect fire attack on a Multi-National Forces base, near Balad, on Sept. 4 at about 10:30 p.m.
- Mortar Attack Kills Two 13th COSCOM Soldiers AFPS 05 Sep 2004 -- Two soldiers from the 13th Corps Support Command died and 16 were injured as a result of a mortar attack on a multinational force base near Baghdad today, according to a news release.
- Iraqi Defense Minister Dismisses Report on Capture of Saddam Deputy VOA News 05 Sep 2004 -- Iraq's Defense minister has dismissed as "baseless" reports that Iraqi forces have captured one of the most wanted members of Saddam Hussein's ousted dictatorship.
- IRAQ ARREST VOA 05 Sep 2004 -- Iraq's Defense Ministry has announced the arrest of the most wanted man in Iraq: Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, a deputy to Saddam Hussein. Other officials say at least 70 people were killed in the operation.
