| April 12, 2003 Release Number: 03-04-118 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PREVIOUSLY MISSING MARINES RECLASSIFIED AS KILLED IN ACTION CAMP DOHA, Kuwait -- Three Marines previously declared "Duty Status -Whereabouts Unknown," have been reclassified as killed in action as a result of combat operations that occurred March 23 in the vicinity of An Nasiriyah, Iraq. The remains have been recovered and will be returned to their families as soon as possible. The names of the Marines are being withheld pending next-of-kin notification. Three other Marines are still listed as "Duty Status - Whereabouts Unknown." |
