| April 12, 2003 Release Number: 03-04-115 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE U.S. MARINES DISCOVER CACHE OF SUICIDE-BOMBER VESTS BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. Marines discovered 310 suicide-bomber vests at an unspecified location in Baghdad on Friday. One hundred sixty of the vests contain ball bearings and are engineered with explosives. The remaining 150 vests did not contain ball bearings. Sixty of the vests are made of black leather, and are designed to be worn over clothing. The Coalition remains committed to rid Iraq of the regime's terrorist activities and brutal practices. |
