The headquarters team included officials from the Political Affairs, Humanitarian and Peacekeeping Departments as well as from the UN Security Coordinator's staff.
The review is scheduled to continue through the weekend.
International staff in Baghdad were relocated temporarily to Cyprus on 30 October pending security discussions after an independent report on the August terrorist bombing there that killed 22 people, including top envoy Sergio Vieira de Mello, found security problems and lax procedures in UN offices in the Iraqi capital.
The move did not affect international staff working elsewhere in Iraq, mainly in the northern provinces. Some 4,000 Iraqi staff continue their work throughout the country.
