- U.S. Works to Rebuild Iraqi Telecommunications Washington File 04 Aug 2003 -- The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is working with the Bechtel Corporation to make emergency repairs to Iraq's telecommunications infrastructure, announced Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration Linton Wells.

- BLAIR FACES PUBLIC TRUST CRISIS VOA 04 Aug 2003 -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair continues to face a loss of public trust over intelligence claims leading up to the war in Iraq. The apparent suicide of a top weapons inspector has deepened the crisis and thrown the Blair government into a bitter battle with the British Broadcasting Company, the B-B-C, over accusations that the government exaggerated Iraq's weapons threat before the war.
