| June 28, 2003 Release Number: 03-06-91 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ONE SOLDIER KILLED, FOUR WOUNDED IN GRENADE ATTACK BAGHDAD, Iraq - A 1ST Armored Division soldier was killed and four wounded following a grenade attack on their convoy in Baghdad's Thawra neighborhood June 27. A civilian Iraqi interpreter traveling with the convoy was also injured. All six people were evacuated to the 28th Combat Support Hospital for treatment. The names of the soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. -30- |
