| June 16, 2003 Release Number: 03-06-57 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MARINE DIES FROM GUNSHOT WOUND BAGHDAD, Iraq - A U.S. Marine from the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force died at approximately 8:45 p.m. in An Najaf June 15 as a result of a non-hostile gunshot wound. The individual was evacuated to the combat support hospital at Ad Diwaniyah. The name of the Marine is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
