| June 5, 2003 Release Number: 03-06-14 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE US SOLDIER KILLED, FIVE WOUNDED IN AL FALLUJAH CAMP DOHA, Kuwait -- One soldier was killed and five were wounded early Thursday morning in Al Fallujah when an unknown assailant fired at them with a rocket-propelled grenade. The soldiers are assigned to the Third Armored Cavalry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). The injured were evacuated by vehicle to a local military medical facility. The names of the dead and wounded are being withheld until their next-of-kin has been notified. -30- |
