IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, March 18, IRNA -- Deputy head of Khatam-ul-Anbia Air Defense Headquarters for Intelligence Brigadier general Ameri said that the Islamic Republic of Iran will increase its air defense capabilities proportion to the enemy's capabilities.
Brigadier General Ameri made the remarks at a nationwide seminar of Air Defense Commanders of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army and the Islamic Revolution's Guards Corps (IRGC) in Tehran on Sunday.
'We should disrupt the intelligence systems of the enemy and do our best to confront the imperialism and big powers by uniting IRGC and army,' he added.
Brigadier General Ameri noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has valuable experiences that had been gained in 1980-88 Iran-Iraq War (Iraqi-imposed war against Iran).
'Islamic Republic of Iran's Air Defense System takes pride in destruction of a large number of airplanes of enemies in 1980-88 Iran-Iraq War during Valfajr-8 military operations,' the commander pointed out.
