Schroeder, Putin to discuss Iranian nuclear program: German official

German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and Russian President Vladimir Putin are to discuss Iran's nuclear program during their summit in Berlin on September 8, a German government spokesman told IRNA here Friday.
"Both leaders will hold talks on current international political issues which also includes Iran's nuclear program," the official said.
German news reports said earlier in the day that Schroeder and Putin are planning to launch a new comprehensive initiative to resolve the differences over Tehran's nuclear program.
The head of Chancellor Schroeder's office Frank Walter Steinmeier is scheduled to travel to Moscow in the coming days to prepare for Putin's blitz visit to the German capital.
