Army chief: Military forces united to defend territorial integrity

Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA -- The Army, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and other armed forces will strongly encounter those who have ill-intentions towards the nation, Army chief Major General Mohammad Salimi said here Tuesday. Addressing the 15th Nationwide Congress of IRGC Commanders and Officials, Salimi described military forces in the country as pious, adding that they will fully defend Iran`s territorial integrity against enemies. He further stressed on closer cooperation between the Army and IRGC forces, and said that getting acquainted with responsibilities as well as cementing solidarity amongst forces are among measures that are necessary for thwarting plots hatched by enemies.
