Kharrazi, Ivanov discuss Iran`s nuclear programs

Moscow, Aug 19, IRNA -- Iran`s Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and hi Russian counterpart Igor Ivanov discussed Iran`s nuclear programs on Monday. Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement said that Kharrazi, in a telephone conversation with Ivanov, outlined Iran`s talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Kharrazi stressed Iran`s peaceful nuclear programs as well as Tehran`s commitment to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and expressed Iran`s determination to expand cooperation with the IAEA. According to the statement, Iran and Russia agreed to continue bilateral talks between the two sides` experts to this effect. The Iranian and Russian foreign ministers discussed the Caspian Sea issue and also various avenues to help change the current situation in Iraq. SF/211 End
