DPRK, Syria Sign MOUs and Agreements

Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- MOU between the DPRK and Syrian governments on mutual cooperation in the field of the special economic zones and the free zones was signed at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Monday. MOU on cooperation in the field of environment was also signed between the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection of the DPRK and the Ministry of State for Environment Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Also signed on the same day were an agreement on cooperation and exchange in the fields of agricultural scientific research between the Academy of Agricultural Science of the DPRK and the General Commission for Scientific Agricultural Research of Syria, the executive program for the years 2012-2015 in the field of information services between the General Bureau of National Software Industry of the DPRK and the Ministry of Communications and Technology of Syria and the first executive program for the implementation of the agreement on tourism cooperation between the National Tourism Administration of DPRK and the Ministry of Tourism of Syria.
Present at the signing ceremonies from the DPRK side were Ri Ryong Nam, minister of Foreign Trade; Ri Kwang Gun, chairman of the Commission for Joint Venture and Investment; Kim Chang Ryong, minister of Land and Environmental Conservation; Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs; Kye Yong Sam, president of the Academy of Agricultural Science; and officials concerned and from the opposite side the Syrian government economic delegation led by Minister of Culture Loubana Mouchaweh and Syrian charge d' affaires ai here Haissam Saad.
