ReliableBin Laden, under pressure from the government of Sudan, flew in a leased aircraft from Khartoum to Jalalabad with family members and aides.

The plane landed to refuel in the United Arab Emirates.

Other militants arrived on later flights, as al-Qaeda settled into its new home in Afghanistan.2
