 | Reliable | Associate of 9-11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar in San Diego in early 2000. Awadallah's telephone number was found in Nawaf al-Hazmi's rented Toyota parked at Washington Dulles airport after 9-11. When his home was searched, he had photos, videos and articles relating to bin Laden. He was charged with lying to investigators about his relationship wtih them. He claimed he was mistreated while in U.S. custody. His attorney showed pictures of bruises on his arms, which he said he received from prison guards.1,2 |
