 | Reliable | Abouhalima drove the getaway car after Eyad Ismoil left behind the bomb truck at the World Trade Center. Prisoner number 28064-054. Projected release date Sept. 20, 2087. Abouhalima grew up religious and became radicalized against the Egyptian government around the time he was in college at Alexandria University. He left Egypt in 1981, reportedly fought in Afghanistan and came to the United States a decade later, where he worked as a cab driver in Brooklyn. Witnesses saw him load the Ryder truck used in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.2,3,4 |
