| Reliable | In a 17-minute video released on militant web sites, al-Libi praised Omar al-Farouq, an al-Qaeda operative with whom he escaped from a U.S. military prison in Bagram, Afghanistan, in 2005. Farouq was killed by British troops in Iraq on Sept. 25, 2006. In addition, al-Libi claimed Taliban leader Mullah Omar was personally leading troops in battle in Afghanistan.1 | |
