Iran Foreign Ministry warns Canada over turning into a terrorist hub

Tehran, Dec 24, IRNA -- Iranian Foreign Ministry warned Canada over turning into a terrorist hub.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Islamic Republic of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned the Canadian government over its move to cross out the name of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) from its list of terrorist organizations and cautioned the country over the consequences of such a decision.
While the world public opinion is considering terrorism as a major global dilemma and has defined certain rules to fight the evil phenomenon, the Canadian government has removed the MKO from its list of terrorist organizations, it noted.
However, the statement stressed, the act will not change the terrorist nature of the terrorist goruplet.
It further stressed that making instrumental use of terrorism, not only is against the international commitments, but also is a dangerous act undermining international peace and security.
The statement said that the Islamic Republic of Iran, while frankly warning Canada over turning into a hub for terrorists and reminding it of the dangers it may pose to the security of the Canadian society, stresses that the irresponsible decision of the current Canadian government contradicts its responsibility to safeguard security of the Iranian citizens living in Canada and the assets of the Iranian government in the country in face of any kind of violent and terrorist actions by the terrorist MKO members within the Canadian territory.
