White House spokesman Ari Fleischer has told reporters there were no unusual communications from the cockpit of the American Airlines Airbus A-300 which crashed shortly after take off from JFK Airport. But he also declined to rule-out terrorism as a possible cause of the crash.
Indeed, several eyewitnesses report seeing an explosion before the plane hit the ground, killing all 255 people on board. We speak to John Pike, director of Global Security.org - an intelligence and defence policy organisation.
