Kharkov State Aircraft Manufacturing Company (KSAMC, or KhGAPP, former KhAPO) is a leading aircraft manufacturing company in Ukraine and one of the most famous aircraft manufacturers in the CIS. KSAMC is a dynamically developing manufacturing company with over 75 years of experience in production of passenger, cargo and military aircraft. Currently KSAMC manufacturers An-140, An-74TK-300 and other airplanes of Antonov family. Kharkov State Aircraft Manufacturing Company has a very interesting and eventful history marked with many outstanding achievements.
The names and fates of the prominent Soviet aircraft designers such as K. Kalinin, A. Tupolev, S. Ilyushin, A. Mikoyan, A. Yakovlev, P. Sukhoi, O. Antonov were closely connected with Kharkov aircraft manufacturing company. Since 1964 till now KSAMC exports airplanes to 29 countries. Today KSAMC consists of several aircraft manufacturing, repairing and servicing companies that provide the full cycle of aircraft production, marketing and technical servicing in operation. The impeccable quality and high reliability of KSAMC products is ensured with numerous research and testing laboratories, professional aircraft design, and quality assurance system certified to ISO 9002. For the last twenty years Kharkov State Aircraft Manufacturing Company has been working in close cooperation with the famous Antonov Scientific and Technical Complex. For years KSAMC manufactured An-72 and An-72P and An-74 aircraft family: light aircraft An-74T, cargo and passenger aircraft An-74TK, An-74TK-200 and the latest An-74TK-300. These airplanes are currently operated under the most adverse weather conditions of Arctic and Antarctic, hot mountainous areas of the South America, and transport cargoes and passengers in Sahara.
In the end of 90s Kharkov State Aircraft Manufacturing Company started the production of the new regional passenger airplane, a 52-seater An-140. This aircraft is intended for cargo and passenger operations and will soon replace old An-24 and An-26. In recognition of the numerous achievements in the field of international cooperation, State Aircraft Manufacturing Company was rewarded with "Golden Mercury", "International Golden Star", and "The Best Trademark" awards.
