Mezban Khider Hadi

Mezban Khider Hadi [Mizban Khadr Hadi] was a Revolutionary Command Council member and a military commander of the Ceentral Euphrates Region under Saddam Hussein's regime. As a a top Ba'ath Party leader, he had had been an adviser to Saddam since the early 1980s.

News accounts have widely, and apparently incorrectly, reported his capture to have occured on May 1, 2003, with official confirmation reportedly coming the following day. However, the 'Iraqi Most Wanted List' produced by CENTCOM's Joint Operations Center still lists Mezban Khider Hadi as being wanted and thus not captured.

CENTCOM officially announced on July 9, 2003, Mezban Khider Hadi to be in coalition custody after having turned himself in to coalition forces in Baghdad.
